- India will host the 46th edition of the Pacific Asia Travel Association Travel Mart at Delhi from 4-6 October, 2023, under Ministry of Tourism.
- After three years due to COVID-19 pandemic, the physical version of this event is being held.
- The PATA Travel Mart 2023 will be held at International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC).
- The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) was founded in 1951 which is headquartered in Bangkok.
- PATA Travel Mart is one of the important international trade exhibitions serving to the tourism sector, also serving as a platform for trade interactions between global buyers and sellers mostly from Asia Pacific region.
- This year the event will feature different activities, including the prestigious PATA Gold Award, the PATA Youth Symposium and the PATA Forum on Sustainability.
- India will also be participating in the PATA Travel Mart 2023 in a substantial manner.
- Along with this, the Ministry of Tourism, on the occasion of World Tourism Day on September 27, globally launched the sustainable program of Travel for LiFE, under aegis of Mission LiFE targeted towards promotion of tourism sector.
